Transparency
/ Slide Film Photograph Specifications:
The majority of our image collection consists of photographs taken
using 35mm or 6cm x 6cm
transparency film, Fuji Velvia or Sensia.
The film is then processed in most cases, at FujiLabs UK where it is written
to disc at 450dpi
(dots per linear inch) at a physical size of approximately 20cm x 14.5cm.
For the print and publishing industry, 300dpi is required for high quality
print and the sizes and
resolution stated above equate to our images filling a full page (297mm
x 210mm) at 300dpi.
Digital Photograph Specifications:
The majority of our digital images are taken using the Nikon D100
or D70 with 6.1 effective
megapixels rendering 3,008 x 2,000 pixel images providing excellent quality
for full page use
(297mm x 210mm). |
